Updates

Still no sign of the great nephew. Could be that I am just not in the loop.

Or it could be because I am a big...

Loooozah!

I lost the election. No worries. It gives me time to raise hell elsewhere - and there is no shortage of hell for me to raise.

ah yes, elections. i ran for mayor 'as conscience' last year on the little island i live on (yes the population was dumb enough to create an island municipality and it's been SOOOO bad).

at least running in this context i didn't have to worry about winning or losing.....i got to have fun and really speak my mind not having to worry about pleasing 'this group or that group'.

i got 27 votes, which was good as expected 6-8. i also accomplished my goal, which was to create awareness that we have obligations at a local level under the united nations charter on sustainability , agenda 21 (chapter 28 applies to local governance).

it wasn't long before every candidate was expousing sustainbility ......but as usual the ones who got in only pay lip service to it. HOWEVER, the public's conscience was raised and many have come around to work towards being a liveable community.

thank you, agenda 21 !!!

how did you like campainging and all the b.s. that goes along with it?
