Pressing the mute button

Words are very powerful and they have the ability to hurt unintentionally.

Today I made a flip remark whilst commenting on a post of a blogger that I deeply respect. That remark was taken in a way that I hadn't even considered - and not in a good way.

I don't want to risk being misunderstood.

After some very careful thought, I have decided to press my internal mute button and fade back into the lurkosphere.
